❗️Imprisoned Gaza pediatrician Hussam Abu Safia suffers severe health decline, Palestinian Prisoners' Office says The Palestinian Prisoners' Media Office says detained Gaza physician and director of Kamal Adwan Hospital Dr. Hussam Abu Safia is facing severe health deterioration after repeated abuse inside the underground Israeli Rakevet prison section. The office said he suffered fractured ribs during multiple assaults, including a violent prison raid on 27 July that involved beatings, electric shocks, tear gas, rubber bullets, and police dogs. According to the statement, Abu Safia suffers from heart disease, high blood pressure, a herniated disc, severe neck pain, vision problems, persistent dizziness, and rapid heartbeat. The office also said he spent 21 days in solitary confinement under harsh conditions after another alleged assault following his transfer to the facility in June.
