❗️Gaza death toll since so-called 'ceasefire' reaches 1,250 as health ministry warns of critical medical collapse ▪️The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said 19 Palestinians were killed by Israel and 35 injured over the past 24 hours, including 18 newly killed and one person who later died of their wounds. The ministry added that victims remain trapped beneath the rubble and in the streets, where ambulance and civil defense crews have been unable to reach them. Since the October 11 ceasefire, 1,250 Palestinians have been killed, 4,110 wounded, and 804 bodies recovered. ▪️In a separate statement, the ministry warned that the deliberate deprivation of medicines is driving a "silent genocide" against patients. It said 61% of cancer and blood disease medications are unavailable, while overall shortages have reached 47% of essential medicines, 58% of medical supplies, and 85% of laboratory testing materials, threatening the near-total collapse of vital diagnostic and treatment services. ▪️The ministry also reported shortages of 56% of maternal and child health medicines, 55% of primary healthcare medicines, 46% of kidney and dialysis drugs, 35% of psychiatric and neurological medicines, 33% of emergency and intensive care medications, 39% of surgical supplies, and 47% of orthopedic supplies. It renewed its appeal to international, UN, and humanitarian organizations to urgently facilitate the entry of medicines, medical consumables, and laboratory supplies to prevent a worsening humanitarian catastrophe.
