❗️Former Mossad chief David Barnea joins AI defense technology firm as global president and chairman Former Mossad chief David Barnea has joined NASDAQ-listed defense technology firm Ondas Defense Ltd. as its global president and chairman, the company announced on Monday. In a statement, Ondas said Barnea will focus on expanding the company’s activities in “the Middle East, Europe and Asia, where governments are accelerating investment in autonomous defense, counter-UAS, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, resilient communications, precision-strike and ground robotic systems.” Barnea, 61, said that “the nature of warfare is changing rapidly, as demonstrated by the conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine.” He added that “operational advantage increasingly depends on the ability to combine intelligence, artificial intelligence, resilient communications, autonomous platforms and precision capabilities into one coordinated operational environment.” Barnea said he looked forward to working with Ondas to “help develop the next generation of AI-enabled, multi-domain defense systems.”
